Knees suck!

My leg is now wrapped in a brace due to two direct falls on my right knee. I have some sort of soft tissue damage and won't know the full story until next week. So, for this weekend, I'll be bench warming and whatever else is needed.

Stiletto On Stage: Benefit for New Orleans!

On Friday October 7th, several of Seattle's finest cabaret and burlesque performers (one from LA) have donated their art for this event and will be giving the audience their all. Several of the acts will be inspired by the old and new culture, art , and music of New Orleans and The South. The Catwalk Club has generously donated their venue and staff for this evenings event. All the money raised will be *donated to this cause.

450 roller girls do not fit in the Double Down, a rare punk rock venue in Vegas with a capacity of about 83. But, they fit out in the parking lot and on the streets...on the roof.

And I'm proud enough to wear it on my sleeve, or my back. At RollerCon at least 70 people got tattooed with a custom roller skate with wings and dagger design. I opted to get something a little more elegant.

I absolutely love doing burlesque for bikers. They are friendly and encouraging and love it when you take off your clothes with jumper cables.

This weekend Jo Jo Stiletto made a very special appearance, with the RCRG, at a car show at the Riverside Inn in Tukwilla. I went on after a sort of metal punk band lead by a hot chick with hot magenta hair and hot pistol packin' attitude. See picture of me with her special magenta car. I want it. It's mine.

I went on at 3pm, just after the spaghetti feed had started. There's something so comforting and perfect about pairing burlesque with a "feed" of any sort. Especially spaghetti.

I was introduced quite well by Betty Ford Galaxy. I should take her with me everywhere I go. I should also take the best assitant in the world, Soda Pop, with me as well. He set props perfectly, made sure my cd was returned to me after the show, even put my robe on me...just like James Brown. And, after, he took me to a motel and got my engine purring (perfect way to end a day at a car show).

Best moment of the day:
Little girl, "Was that you on stage in the show on the stage?"
Me, "Yes, that was me."
Little girl, "Why did you take off your clothes?"
Me, "Um....that's what you do when you dance burlesque."

A short time later, Soda Pop says he wishes he had a camcorder. Also let it be known that earlier I went up to the adult companion of the child to make sure she knew the content of the next act.

Things I have learned from the Black Top Brawl 8/13/05

I was supposed to be the first person in the dunk tank. The water was crystal clear, the sky blue, the sun high. I was, unwittingly, the last person in the dunk tank. I must warn you all. NEVER be the last person in the dunk tank.

It was so gross that I actually asked my coach, Chuck Bury, to hose me off in the middle of the beer garden while people snapped pictures of my white legs and white ass. Yep, the things I endure for derby.
